FIU Cheerleading

• Must be a undergraduate or graduate student (min 9 credits) at FIU or a neighboring community college (Miami Dade College/Broward Community College) for the Fall 2011 semester or enrolled with the FIU dual enrollment program with a local university with at least a 2.0 grade point average.
• If you are an incoming freshman or transfer student, you must provide a letter of acceptance into the university or if you have not been accepted by the audition date you must provide verification that you have applied.
• All canidates MUST have health insurance coverage.  A copy of your insurance card (front & back) must be turned in on the DAY of auditions.

Please keep in mind that we DO understand that many of you have not stunted with a male partner, this will not be held against you in scoring, and again, we are looking for potential.
If you are experienced in stunting, please be prepared to demonstrate your most difficult skills.

* Eliminations may begin as early as day 1 of auditions.  Please keep in mind that we look for athletic ability and potential.  The best assest you can bring to auditions is a positive mind set, eagerness to learn, and your spirit!

• Registration Form (download below / copies will be available on site)
• Waiver and Liability Form (download below / copies will be available on site)
•  Photo copy of medical health insurance card (front & back of card)
•  Photo copy of FIU student ID card, letter of acceptance to the University
• Head shot and full-body photograph
• A reference letter from a current or former coach
• $15 audition fee to the FIU cheer program

Please download all required forms from the site and filled out completely prior to day 1 of auditions to cut down the registration time.

Women

• Sports bra or fitted exercise shirt/Cheerleading shorts (soffee/russell type)/White socks/ White tennis shoes/Hair should be done with appropriate make-up
• NO jewerly (including all body piercings!)

Men

• Sleeved t-shirt/Gym shorts/White socks/White tennis shoes

All video auditions must be submitted to FIU Head Coach online at maria@fiucheerleading.com NO LATER than May 14, 2011.

All the above requirements must be demonstrated and ALL forms must be completed and included with your submission.  You will be notified on May 15 after final auditions via email if you have made the squad.

Video Auditions are for those who live out of the state of Florida or cannot be present during the audition process.
